Electricity shutdowns appear to be coming towards Desert Hot Springs so now is the time to prepare for them if they arrive.  The electrical grid on a national level is showing signs of cracking with Time Square in NYC going dark just hours ago.  And now power is going out in the Morongo Valley. This KESQ article announced the power outage before 5 am today before any really intense heat started being felt.  So this doesn’t have to do with a rolling blackout.  The reason is still not known.
