Tiny Houses for the Homeless are being negotiated to come to Desert Hot Springs and the local high powered leeches of DHS are setting out to feed off of them by getting them located on an insider Pastor’s church property.

Here’s the paragraph from Redlands Community News.

“Street Life is seeking funding for campuses in the Coachella Valley and has made arrangements for land use at the World of Life Fellowship Center in Desert Hot Springs and is in the process of transforming an underutilized dog park in Indio, said Jelmberg.”

A Pastor in Desert Hot Springs is rolling in the dough these days by exploiting his churches as night time cooling centers that feature planted characters used for image, p.r., and publicity purposes.

His well connected churches have very low attendance so apparently in order to stay running he seeks to incessantly take advantage of cash being downloaded into one or more of his multiple 501 (c)3 non profit organizations.

Yes he has many non profits he is either the founder of or is/was on the board of. These are only a portion of the list of non profits he either is or has been connected to.

1) Advancing DHS is confirmed as a non profit in the Desert Sun.

“Councilman Gary Gardner heard about Advancing DHS before he was elected to the council. Now, he’s a board member for the nonprofit, which received its 501(c)3 status in November 2018.”

The Pastor’s own website shows that advancingdhs is a non profit.  The page also includes the names of the incestuous bloodsucking revolving door community members on the board of his non profit.

2) His Church is another non profit that seems to always be looking for more cash.

There is no shame in these people as to what lengths they will go to to earn money off of a crisis that their friends have created and continue to let get worse in lieu of more failed programs they take money for.

In fact the Pastor endorsed 3 of the current city council members and soon after he did endorse them his participation in making money off of government funded programs only accelerated.

Government is so good at speeding up problems such as the homeless crisis all over the country that it’s a slap in the face to see them planning to reap more money off of a problem they are only worsening.

From a Los Angeles article.

“It’s a startling proposition — that despite a growing operation to end homelessness, funded by hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer approved money each year, things aren’t getting better.”

Hear me loud and clear, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY these tiny homes that the Pastor is offering to sign on to bringing into Desert Hot Springs will have any substantial positive impact on the homeless crisis going on in Desert Hot Springs.

You can take that claim to the bank.

Why?  Because it’s a complex problem that requires first understanding why homelessness is growing.  We know why it’s growing.  It’s a full spectrum of reasons from open borders to inflation to offshoring of manufacturing jobs to health problems to promoted welfare programs for life to increased cost of living in America at over 2 percent a year.

The tiny homes project has imploded so many times already.  One case in particular is in Seattle but their boondoggle didn’t fail til after all the taxpayer money was paid out and deposited into the bank accounts of the parties involved.

This tiny homes project is nothing more than a money making scam for the well connected to feed off of the system over and over and over until all the money runs out.  Then they move on to the next scam, repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat……….

The tiny homes scam is more expensive by about $50 per square foot than traditional apartment housing costs are to build.  Additionally there is no running plumbing in the majority of these tiny homes.  There is likely just a window to open that is considered air.

If the tiny homes come to DHS the occupants will most likely use the community showers on the property along with the laundry services, porta potties, and community meeting rooms during the day.  So the tiny homes are not much more than a shed with a bed in it with a wire shelf on the wall that’s called storage.  All of the other services are to be utilized outside of the tiny home.  How is that called a home?  These tiny homes can’t even accommodate a family.

The offers to provide land for these tiny houses in return for cash, which is what the pastor is doing, is all designed for them to prepare to get their latest traunch of taxpayer money to keep their bills paid for the next number of months.  This tiny houses idea is also a temporary public relations step towards publicly building support for the city’s plans to build packed upwards and stacked upwards multi use housing where you will live a floor or 2 over where you will work.

And as an added optic, the system of the night time cooling centers at the Word Of Life Fellowship in DHS is all set up by now.  The natural progression now is to publicly roll out the months ago planned idea to leave it all there and start offloading tiny homes on the back dirt lot.  Do you need more reason to see this insider run scam continue?

The head of this local tiny homes push is Christian Jelmberg and he’s ready to deliver the homes right now.  He even said so in front of me at a homelessness CVAG meeting last month.  He and many many other people stood in front of the committee and practically begged for money from the government to participate in the homeless crisis with their mostly ineffective programs when compared to how much the problem continues to grow.

Money is like a drug that they can’t help but keep raking in.  They will probably get this program up and running thus reap their temporary fix of cash.  This will likely happen and if it does we will watch the first day the tiny homes opens with a ribbon cutting will be the first day of the Desert Hot Springs branch of the tiny homes’ failure. Then they will introduce the next program designed to funnel more money to themselves that will fail again.

Word Of Life is nothing more than another exploitative welfare recipient that is blowing the money it receives on stuff that arguably won’t make a positive difference at the end of the day.

History is loaded with boondoggles just like the ones that Word Of Life Fellowship in DHS can’t get enough of.

    1. I think you are trying to split hairs here and beat around the bush. What are you getting at? WOL has a branch inside the city of DHS that is serving as a shelter for homeless all of this summer, you know that. WOL is currently engaged in accepting taxpayer money for a fledgling cooling center project that just about no one not involved in the programs success or failure can substantially audit. The Redlands article states that the coordinator of the eventual taxpayer funded tiny houses structures themselves is in some sort of agreement with the same church running the taxpayer funded night time cooling centers inside the DHS city limits. What difference does WOL having a branch outside the city and one inside the city have to do with the same WOL umbrella running a current taxpayer funded program and now being connected to possibly another government funded program?

If you know more details about the Tiny houses agreement with WOL why not just reveal them.
