What is so repelling to businesses that they don’t want to occupy office and retail space in one of the most prime areas in Desert Hot Springs?  More specifically the square footage directly adjacent and near Desert Hot Springs City Hall?

I wrote an article months ago about how there are so many empty retail and commercial spaces in Desert Hot Springs and it shows many pictures of empty retail shops at the same intersection as the DHS City Hall.

Below I will show you yet another building at the same intersection of Palm and Pierson that is totally empty and showing no signs of being occupied anytime soon.

What is it that’s making so many people looking for commercial space in our city say….   no thanks to such great locations?

Is it the close proximity to local Government?

Is it the rents that are being asked for the locations?

Are these storefronts strategically being marketed at such a high rate of rent that they are intentionally squeezing out most potential renters on purpose?

What other reason could there be besides the city blatantly not wanting to have any tenants across the street from them?

Is the city paranoid that a surveillance group is going to take up residence across the street and start recording their work being done inside the old DHS visitors center?  Not likely but there has to be some reason.

Could the city be keeping the spaces empty because the city plans on developing the area into multi use/mixed use properties in the coming years?   That could be more likely and there’s abundant evidence that that is more close to what they’re doing.

I mean heck it’s easier to dump large amounts of taxpayer money into an empty building than it is to evict a shop that sets up business there a short number of months later.  Besides again it gives the city another black hole to dump more money into so that it can’t make it to where it would really help people.  But that’s another story for another time.

As I’ve shown you all many times on my show ‘THE BUILD UP’ there is a vortex specific plan that has been adopted by the city of DHS itself to build multi use apartment buildings with dense living quarters on the upper floors and retail businesses on the ground floor.

This Desert Hot Springs Vortex plan overlays on top of the existing structures at the 3 corners of Palm and Pierson that are now vacant.

One of those structures is this building here.

Below are some interior pictures of the building above.

It’s not even close to rent able at this point and with so many other empty spaces near it, it doesn’t stand a chance of being inhabited soon unless rents are severely slashed.

Could this building that some are saying is now owned by a Los Angeles based Firm be in a storage/holding phase waiting for a future large sale price once and after the city of Desert Hot Springs starts moving forward with re-designating of this area as residential/retail?

Could the firm in LA being just maintaining the property til they are brought in as part of the future tightly packed, dense urban living styles that are found in just about every major city we go through anymore?

I’m not sure, but either way the owners of this hollow structure, whether it’s a Firm in Los Angeles or some other party is most likely aware of the Vortex plan that was approved by DHS and how valuable the land that this big brown building is sitting on is going to be worth some day.

The city has plans up it’s sleeve that are gigantic for Desert Hot Springs but they for some reason almost never talk about them.

You should ask yourself why that is.
