You can expect high wind gusts Thursday and Friday in Desert Hot Springs reaching up to 27 mph.
This means that crossing the I-10 tomorrow and Friday you should see blowing sand so be careful.
The national weather service has issued a wind advisory that says the following.
Thursday
Sunny. Highs 100 to 105. Areas of winds southeast 15 to 20 mph. Gusts to 35 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday Night
Clear. Lows 67 to 73. Areas of winds north 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph.
It seems the wind gusts can be attributed to the change in pressures that are going to bring us cooler temps for the next several days. Lows are going to reach down into the 60’s overnight from Thursday til Saturday night.
