Just like the Gilroy Garlic festival grounds were this latest shooting today in a Wal-Mart in El Paso Texas was a gun controlled zone.

Our hearts go out to the victims of the shooting in Texas that happened today and this will surely be one of our more darker days for the nation this summer.
Having said that though, sitting ducks will be shot at in America today in higher numbers than in gun welcoming zones. There is no better proof of this than fact that the majority of mass shootings occur in gun free or gun controlled zones.
When people are allowed to freely carry their own weapons inside stores and festivals, the amount of people killed by a nut with a gun is drastically reduced.
Texas is known to be an open carry state yet it appears that Wal-Mart has sided with the anti gun groups by effectively limiting a persons ability to purchase guns for personal protection and also limit a persons ability to protect themselves in a Wal-Mart even those in Texas.
In 2016 Open Carry Texas tested out Wal-Marts reaction to an openly carried firearm and things did not go well for Texans who believe in their right to open carry in their state.
In the video you will see that Wal-Mart employees quickly detained a firearm owner exercising his full right to openly carry his weapon in the state of Texas while Wal-Mart employees made up rules that were neither posted nor part of the Texas code.
The bottom line is that Wal-Mart as a corporation leans towards the ad hoc limitations on the Second Amendment rights provided in our Constitution. And that lead away from the Second Amendment understandably could have played a role in the number of people killed in the Wal-Mart store which currently is purported to be 18.
The take away from this article is that the more times you frequent gun free zones the more times you are putting yourself in a position where a crazy person can come in and shoot at sitting ducks.
The world is slowly going more and more insane so don’t be a victim if you can help it.
