Bilingual LGBTQ participating kids performing group comprised of adult men cross dressing and wearing tutu’s, eye shadow, pony tail wigs, and having women put makeup on them mostly clown like called ‘TWINKLE TIME’ are set to perform at the DHS Library (Carl May Center) on July 20th 2019 at 12 pm.
The DHS Library team is in full blown push mode, even though it’s summer time and off season trying to indoctrinate the youth and entice the DHS residents of all races to support the new larger library yet to be built down Palm Drive near Aqua Soleil Resort and Spa.
The City of Desert Hot Springs is mid stride in what is arguably a heavy public relations operation directed towards getting children ready for drag queen story time and also building support among the community for the new library that will be erected in DHS in the next few years.
Never before have I seen so much money spent on performances and events at the Desert Hot Springs Library (Carl May Center to be exact) than have I seen since the announcement of the new to be built library that is officially going to be constructed on the corner of Palm Drive and Park Lane. Coloring days, family days, arts and craft days, latin dancing days, on and on. And this is all this summer when half the city is gone up north.
Palm and Park in DHS is by the way the same corner where the city of Desert Hot Springs has proposed in a final Parks and Recreation plan to build a recessed soccer and football complex/field with amphitheater, concert, and distinguished speaker capabilities utilizing full spectator seating.
Here is the wording in the document adopted by the city of Desert Hot Springs about the land where the library is to be built.
“It is recommended that the
design for this park site
accommodate the facilities
necessary to deliver the
programs desired by the
community. These include a
sports complex containing three
combination soccer and football
fields recessed into a bowl area
with perimeter turf spectator
seating; a multi-purpose sports
and community center; a small
recessed amphitheater for
performance or speaker events,
walking and jogging trails with
exercise equipment stations, tot
and children’s playground
equipment, adequate restrooms
and parking and family picnic
areas. Development of this
facility will meet the needs for sports fields (both league games and tournaments); multi-purpose
community center space for classes and activities for youth through adults; and the need for specifically
designed space for local and regional events, celebrations, festivals, and concerts.”
In a decade this new library location could serve as a building that houses some other department within the city of Desert Hot Springs years from now when the city decides to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars more to make this area the sports complex the council desires.
If the city finds it is time to relocate the new library again years from now, what the city would simply do is build another library/multimedia facility somewhere else in the city within the vortex specific plan. Then that would free up the building that is coming soon as the Library and it could be home to the sports complex staff and administrators.
Re purposing a building years down the road such as the one they are going to build to house the future DHS library is nothing new. The government loves to spend money and will gladly do so on a third library location in a tenth of a century to make way for a potential city owned sports complex taking over that block.
Anyway, here is the latest expensive act “twinkle time” comprised of latin performers who will come to the library on Saturday August 20th 2019 to perform their (dressed like clowns) show in Spanish and English.
It’s like Riverside County wants the city to promulgate the library in the most flamboyant way towards children as it possibly can as part of the deal to get the new library or something.
