The police Chief of Desert Hot Springs Has resigned this morning turning in his letter of resignation to the Council before 7:45 AM today.
The police chief was highly liked by the council and was said to have brought crime down in the city.
His resignation stems from evidence that he was texting explicit messages between himself and the girlfriend of a DHSPD Detective. Sometimes even during work hours.

Ironically does anyone remember that just less than a year ago the former police chief himself was investigating sexually explicit messaging that was going back and forth between an officer and an “informant”. The officer under investigation is shown below with the now former chief and the city council at the time.
