On this Memorial Day special we’re honored to hear from a decorated Navy Officer who earned his rank the hard way. He devoted 27 years to the United States Navy and along the way made many friends and gathered experiences that others in the military wish they could have been part of.
Mr. Bill Hawkins originally from Salt Lake City Utah has made Desert Hot Springs his home with his family since the early nineteen nineties. He has 4 children and the youngest of his is seen giving him a peck on the cheek in the main photo taken from his facebook link.
He is a good family man who looks out for the little guy and doesn’t ask for handouts. He’s humble and full of life experiences that others dream about having.
On this Memorial Day weekend let’s appreciate the people who serve our country in good times and bad in all ways so that we can remember it’s the heart and sacrifices by some that give so much to us all.
Because as Mr. Hawkin’s hat he was wearing in this interview says.
“ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL”
Thank you Mr. Bill Hawkins, or as he is known to at least one person he served with, “Boss”.
